A small village on the south-west shore of the Dornoch Firth in Sutherland, Highland region of Scotland, approximately 1 mile south from Bonar Bridge. The village owes its existence to the 3rd Duke of Sutherland, who controlled the route of the railway from Inverness being built in the early 1860s.
